Planning for winter

These are the things I’m promising to knit, or planning to knit, this winter. You can skip it if you want, my feelings won’t be hurt. This is mostly a place keeper for me.

There are three sweaters in the works for Lucy. One is Setesdal (Rav link), because I have come to the conclusion that I want her to have one fancy colorwork sweater each winter, until I get sick of it, or she sizes out of the baby patterns (the kids ones are way less adorable). One is … well, there’s no picture, because I’m going to have to make it up, because the pattern wasn’t working AT ALL. The goal is to use some lovely colors of Lamb’s Pride that I have (body pink, purple and yellow for sleeves) and somehow make it look like those adorable shirts that are fake-layered — you know the ones, where it looks like you’re a skater kid, wearing a short sleeve shirt over a long sleeved one, only they’re preppy now? Yeah, like that. I also have some GORGEOUS Blue Sky Alpaca & Silk that’s begging to be — well — something, I don’t know yet. I have to find something worthy of the grey green gorgeousness.

I have two sweaters for myself that I have to finish. One is the birthday present yarn, and one is the grey yarn I started last year.

Chris wants a hat for his birthday (which is today). A 2×2 seaman’s cap in a reasonably soft yarn should suffice; he’s getting back to me regarding color so that it can match his new leather jacket, which he doesn’t own yet. I’m hoping for a deep green or blue, which would suit him without being girly.

Frank wants felted gloves. Didn’t have time to ask color.

Parents want cute hats for toddlers. There will be seven of them by then, as Lucy will be old enough to notice if she doesn’t get a hat. Thank god their heads are small.

The wedding that was possibly getting pushed back (not mine, obviously) is now back on for somewhere between May and June of 2010. This is fantastic for the couple, but bad for my knitting schedule. Oh boy oh boy.

What do you have in the works, if you’ve actually read this far?
